- Under general supervision, implements programs, policies, procedures, projects, and processes in support of the Company's environmental strategies, including but not limited to: multi media compliance issues, waste management, pollution prevention and waste minimization, permitting assistance, and hazardous materials.
- Develops Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) strategies to fill compliance and performance gaps in support of company's strategic plan.
- Participates in the development of corporate initiatives.
- Partners with the business and site leaders to integrate culture of Environmental ownership, performance, and compliance.
- Measures key metrics that drive the effectiveness of HSE compliance assurance company-wide.
- Develops HSE strategies to fill compliance and performance gaps in support of the business strategic plan and deploys the HSE compliance assurance plan in the breakdown of work.
- Able to identify and consult on solutions for environmental aspects of our operations.
- Establishes effective working relationships with internal customers to identify the current state of Environmental performance, risks, issues, and needs.
- Maintains good working knowledge of a wide variety of environmental regulations and issues.
- Interfaces with industry and environmental groups and regulatory agencies to keep current on the changes developing in the regulations and legislation.
- Other duties may include conducting training and auditing, providing technical advice to operations and shared services personnel, assisting in the preparation of presentations and technical reports, as well as interpretation of data, standards, codes and regulations.
- Requires communication and integration across multiple functions within the company, regulatory agencies, external consultants, and other stakeholders and interested third parties on a global basis.
- Participates on corporate audit teams in support of the corporate HSE performance auditing program.
Skills acquired through an undergraduate study in HSE related field, Science, or Engineering. Professional certification preferred. - Three years of relevant experience required; higher education may be considered as relevant experience.
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
