Eden Scott is delighted to support our energy client with the recruitment of an Equipment Accountant to bolster the existing team due to increased workload. This is a full time permanent staff position based in Westhill.

You will report directly to the Finance Manager, this diverse role provides valuable experience in equipment Accounting, Cost Control and Capital Expenditure within a dynamic, global organisation. You will be working primarily within the P&OO Finance team, with the opportunity to gain exposure to other areas of finance including Crewing, Vessels and Pipeline Group Project Accounting. This varied exposure will create opportunities to diversify your experience and help you to build a career you can be proud of.

What will you be doing?

As Equipment Accountant you will work as part of a small team where you will have responsibility for the timely and accurate provision of all financial information including forecasts and budgets for your own designated pool of Equipment.

Daily support to the Equipment Managers in relation to equipment finances.

Preparation of detailed monthly management accounts for equipment assigned.

Preparation of monthly analytical review for assigned equipment, including but not limited to:

Variance analysis

Identifying and reporting variances / areas of concern to Equipment Managers and Finance Manager

Uploading and reviewing forecast results

Identifying and reporting sensitivities to Finance Manager

Preparation of Annual Budgets and input to 5 Year Plan.

Assisting the preparation of the forecast equipment utilisation for monthly reporting and budgets.

Capex reporting for equipment related capex.

Cash flow analysis for the equipment assigned to you.

What experience would we like you to have?

Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or qualified by relevant experience in similar role.

Good working knowledge of SAP, Excel and other Microsoft products.

Exposure to Business Finance Capital (BFC) is beneficial, but not essential.

Excellent analytical skills, and an ability to work with detail and high accuracy.

Good planning and organising skills, accustomed to meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
