Community Staff Nurse

East Ross Integrated Care Team

Band 5

29.6 hour permanent post.

To apply for this position a live NMC registration and full driving licence is essential with access to your own vehicle for work purposes.

The East Ross Peninsula is in the Scottish Highlands, offers an excellent lifestyle choice and follows the Cromarty Firth coastline, situated 25 miles north of Inverness.

Are you interested in joining our team? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 5 Community Staff Nurse within the East Ross Integrated Care Team.

This is a permanent post of 29.6 hours per week, covering a 7 day rota, (Monday- Sunday) in accordance with service requirements.

The post holder will work from Tain Health Centre, Tain and County Community Hospital, Invergordon .

Post registration experience is desirable and you should have a good knowledge of clinical skills relevant to community nursing. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are fundamental to the role as is the ability to work on your own and as part of a team.

The band 5 post holder will support the caseload holder in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating complex care in a range of clinical and residential/home settings within East Ross. You must be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate an ability to work with different professional groups as part of a multidisciplinary team.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
