This key role within our Grounds & Landscaping is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of our growing team taking care of the upkeep of the grounds, gardens and surrounding areas of Taymouth Castle for members, guests & visitors. Duties will be varied according to the time of year and weather conditions, could involve a variety of tasks that maintain the health and appearance of our grass, trees and plants - there will never be a shortage of tasks in this stunning environment! Working closely and proactively communicating with team members across the wide range of facilities, this is a unique role for those who thrive on people interaction. Ensure the correct procedures are followed regarding the use of all machinery, all hand tools fertilisers and pesticides providing regular updates on the condition of the gardens, surrounding areas and environment. Undertake Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in line with current and changing requirements of the role always promoting safe working practices in all areas of operation. Report all faults and defects relating to the condition of the various venues, equipment, tools, buildings, etc. Providing support to the smooth running of all facilities Working as part of a team actively demonstrating a willingness to support and achieve the overall business objectives. Comply with company policies, rules and procedures at all times, while ensuring all refuse is managed in accordance to Scottish Waste Regulations
This is a superb opportunity and ideal if you thrive in a multiskilled role offering both variety and challenge. Previous experience in a similar role and/ or environment would be an advantage. To be successful you will have a genuine interest and knowledge of the game as well as the desire to learn and develop in your career. You can maintain a professional and welcoming approach when engaging with members, guests & visitors. As and when required carry out remedial and preventative work around the site to support other areas of the business. A full UK Driving License is essential and the following qualifications would be a distinct advantage.
- Proficient in Information Communication Technology
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Greenkeeping and Sports Turf Management, PA1, PA2 and PA6A spraying certificates
- Certified to operate Chainsaws
