Full Job Description

Robert Gordon’s College is an independent co-educational nursery and day school in the heart of Aberdeen for children aged 3 to 18 years. The College follows the Scottish curriculum and from the earliest age children are used to active interdisciplinary learning in the class, building confidence through participation.


The College is looking for a Evening Cleaner to join our team. Working with the support of the Chargehand, you will be part of a team of 25 responsible for carrying out daily cleaning and replenishment tasks to a high standard. Our team work in pairs cleaning designated areas of the College.


In this role you will work from 4:00pm – 8:00pm, Monday to Friday and will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out daily cleaning tasks to the BICSc required standard;
  • Cleaning various areas of the College such as reception, classrooms, kitchens, bathrooms;
  • Using various machinery, such as carpet washers, buffing machines etc.;
  • Maintaining a safe and organised work station and maintaining stock levels; 
  • Maintaining health and safety standards.

This will be a fixed-term position, in the first instance, with a provisional start date in January through to the end of June 2025.
