Full Job Description

Our client, a renowned Higher Education establishment located in Paisley, is seeking Exam
Invigilators to support their current exam diet. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to
the smooth running of exams in a professional and respected academic environment.

- Start date: 9th December
- End date: 19th December
- Shifts: 09:00-14:00 approximately
- Pay: 12.0012.43 dependent on role

Your Role and Responsibilities:

- As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of the examination process. Under the supervision of the University Registry staff, your responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the confidentiality and security of examination materials.
- Assisting senior University Registry staff in the organisation and smooth operation of exams.
- Collecting and delivering examination papers and materials to and from the allocated venues.
- Distributing examination materials and reading instructions to students.
- Supervising the examination environment, ensuring compliance with university regulations.
- Observing and supporting students to uphold a calm and focused atmosphere during exams.

Key skills:

- A solid educational background and supervisory experience.
- Previous exam invigilation experience is advantageous but not essential.
- A professional attitude with a positive, proactive approach to work.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with staff and students respectfully.
- The ability to remain calm and confident when faced with unexpected challenges.
- Strong attention to detail, observational skills, and organisational abilities.
- The capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of examination matters.
