Full Job Description

Due to continued growth, Contract Scotland is seeking a skilled Executive Assistant to work alongside the Purchasing Manager of our client in the Bellshill area. This is a fast-paced purchasing department, dedicated to ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.

The successful candidate should be detail-oriented, proactive and organised. You must be proficient in Microsoft and reporting packages. Previous experience in a procurement environment would be highly beneficial. However, in the absence of this, extensive experience as a PA/Office Management, where you reported to senior management, will be essential.

Working hours are Monday-Friday 8-5. This is a full-time office-based position.

Responsibilities:

  • You will act as a pivotal team member for ensuring the team is compliant, and policies and procedures are up to date
  • Attending internal and external meetings with the Purchasing Manager to source, select, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best terms in price, quality, and delivery
  • Review and process purchase orders for accuracy and compliance with organisational policies
  • Monitor supplier performance, highlighting any issues that may arise - acting proactively to mitigate any potential performance-based issues
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and new products
  • Work in partnership with the Purchasing Manager, to ensure smooth operation within the Purchasing department.

If you have the required skills and experience, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
