Full Job Description
Based on site, Dstl has an exciting role as a Explosives Magazine Manager. You will be responsible for the day-to-day safe and secure management of OME within the Energetics Enclosure (EE) (and other locations) through the receipt, storage, issue, transport, use and disposal of energetic materials. You will provide technical knowledge to resolve issues and be accountable for procedural compliance. Our safety culture and commitment is an on-going priority at Dstl and as leaders:

You will bring experience of Ordnance Munitions and Explosives, safe working practices and management. We'll provide you the opportunity to grow in an inclusive environment and provide on-going support as you take pride in undertaking a new role for you, and for Dstl., Experience of managing an energetics storage facility with an in depth knowledge of explosive management, including storage, accounting, transport and disposal. - Proven track record of identifying issues with the environment, equipment and processes involved in the through life management of OME.

- supplying sensitive and specialist science and technology services for MOD and wider government
- providing and facilitating expert advice, analysis and assurance on defence procurement
- leading on the MOD's science and technology programme
- understanding risks and opportunities through horizon-scanning
- acting as a trusted interface between MOD, wider government, the private sector and academia to provide science and technology support to military operations by the UK and her allies
- championing and developing science and technology skills across MOD
