We are currently seeking to recruit a 16 hr Facilities Assistant to join our team in Broadford Hospital. This post will be based in Broadford Hospital, however the successful applicant will require to cover if required, Portree Hospital and all NHS Sites in the local geographical area, including Health Centres if required. A fleet vehicle is available for travelling to sites. A full clean driving licence is required.
This post is a part time vacancy, suitable for candidates who are available to work 2 x 8 hour shifts, 4 x 4 hour shifts or a variation of shifts between the hours of 0700 and 2000 a week, working variable shifts from Monday to Sunday, working hours may be out with clinic hours, between 0700 and 0900 or 1700-1900 and would also suite candidates who would like to job share.
They will be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness in line with local infection control policies and procedures, catering duties include regeneration of meals and preparation of salads, sandwiches and snacks. Meeting specified cleaning schedules, and promoting and maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the environment. Applicants should hold a full, clean driving licence.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
