Facilities and Estates Operative

We are currently seeking a dedicated Facilities and Estates Operative to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. You will assist in delivering a customer-oriented service that enhances the living experience for our residents. Your Main Responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out regular cleaning of all internal and external communal areas, ensuring they are left clean, safe, and attractive for residents.
• Assisting in the removal of graffiti and fly-tipped waste on the organization's land.
• Undertaking minor repairs to communal properties and gardens, including planned deep cleaning.
• Being adaptable and flexible, working across various service areas as needed.
• Responding promptly to on-site customer inquiries and providing assistance.
• Recommending suggestions for improvements to support wider decision-making.
• Planning and organizing workloads to meet deadlines aligned with departmental service plans.
• Identifying and resolving day-to-day issues or escalating when necessary.
• Complying with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  
  MUST have a full manual driving license.
• Experience in cleaning or caretaking is highly desired.
• Experience in a customer-oriented environment with a flexible approach to working hours.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate relevant cleaning and caretaking equipment.
• Familiarity with the Health and Safety at Work Act and specific site safety regulations.
• A good standard of literacy and numeracy for accurate record keeping.

• Based around the Burnley
• Salary: £23,088 per annum
• Annual salary increment increases

• 27 days annual leave (rising to 32 over 5 years' service) + bank holidays
