Full Job Description

Our Oilfield Services & Equipment business provides intelligent, connected technologies to monitor and control our energy extraction assets. Partner with the best As a Field Specialist, you will install, maintain, and if required repair any Baker Hughes Surface Pressure Control equipment in the field. This includes but is not limited to Casing Heads, Casing Spools, Tubing Heads, Tubing Spools, Casing Hangers, Tubing Hangers, MS-1 Seal, MS-T Seal, Pack-Off Assemblies, CB-T Seals, Multi-Bowls, XT's, Gate Valves and Actuators. As a Field Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing the customer with technical advice at the work site during the operation, maintenance, repair and installation of Baker Hughes products.
  • Ensuring FST competency profile is up to date to ensure that the correct skill level is shown and evident through work experience.
  • Controlling inventories and report back to onshore support to ensure the appropriate tooling and spares are in the field when required.
  • Having strong understanding CAD drawings.
  • Completion of reports to a high standard that accurately capture daily activities on the rig.
  • Supervising the operations on the rig floor.

    Have mechanical related apprenticeship and/or formal mechanical/engineering qualification (Higher National Certificate /Higher National Diploma).
  • Demonstrate experience in a Field Service role.
  • Be able to work on your own, as well as a team member.
  • Have a strong mechanical and hydraulic background.
  • Have extensive offshore/onshore drilling or production related experience.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Be able to work procedures and understand operational requirements.
  • Have experience working with surface wellheads, and familiar offshore drilling and completion operations.
  • Demonstrate experience with Wellhead Systems, High Pressure High Temperature, Running/Retrieval of Tubing Hangers and Wellhead Sealing.
  • Experience with Pneumatic/Hydraulic Actuators and Gate Valves.
  • Be familiar with the installation and removal or Valve Removal Tool Plugs and Tubing Hanger Plugs.
