Finance Assistant

Permanent Full Time 5 days per week

£25,468 - £27,486 (Band 3) per annum

We are currently seeking to recruit a full time Finance Assistant for our busy Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable team based at our National Headquarters in Edinburgh on a permanent basis.  We are currently reviewing working practices around remote working and it is likely that we will accommodate a flexible working pattern although this will include at least one day in the office per week.

The accounts payable team process high volumes of invoices within tight deadlines.  It is essential that our suppliers are paid promptly and that all queries are dealt with effectively.

The accounts receivable team raises charges to other public bodies and private organisations for services provided. These charges must be raised promptly and debt collection procedures must be followed correctly and completely.

Full working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of software is required, along with the ability to adapt to the use of new systems in a rapidly changing environment. 

You must have an excellent telephone manner and data skills and good keyboard accuracy and speed is essential.  Previous experience of a purchase ordering system and Finance system within a Finance team is desirable. 

You will have the ability to work as part of a team and should also be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as external agencies.
