Finance Assistant

Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be engaged by a market leading organisation to recruit a Credit Controller - German based in Edinburgh. The role will report into the Credit Manager, this organisation is a large international organisation with various revenue streams. The role is offering a permanent contract and a salary of 26,000 to 28,000 and benefits package, as well as hybrid working.

The Opportunity

As a Credit Controller, you will be chasing outstanding debt owed to the business and actively bringing down the aged debt. Working with their German customer base you'll need to be fluent in speaking in German. This role will be working within an international, fast-pace organisation.

The role will include:

• Manage a portfolio of German-speaking client accounts, ensuring timely payments and adherence to credit terms.
• Contact clients in German via phone, email, and written correspondence to secure payments of outstanding invoices.
• Resolve billing, dispute, and payment term queries, providing excellent customer service.
• Prepare and maintain regular reports on collection activities, account statuses, and outstanding balances.

Background Experience

We are keen to speak to individuals with the following profile:

• Experience within an Credit Control/Sales ledger Role
• Fluent within the German Language
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels
• IT proficient with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
