Full Job Description

A vacancy has arisen at England Athletics for a Finance Assistant initially for a 12-month period.. The role will support and assist in the financial administration which will include purchase, sales, and general ledger duties, and to assist in the production of the monthly financial reporting. The postholder will assist in credit control and aim to minimise the debt position of England Athletics. To support the Finance team in its administrative duties including regular reconciliation activities. Key areas for this role will be:

  • Purchase Ledger - To support purchase ledger, processing invoices and reconciliations.
  • Sales Ledger - To assist and provide support for sales ledger, effectively and efficiently raise sales ledger invoices and credit notes and assist with debt collection, as required.
  • Reconciliation and Reporting - Assist in the reconciliation of Bank Statements, maintain financial spreadsheets, reconciliations, and reports as directed.
  • Other - To maintain accounting database including data collection, entry & analysis as required. General administration as may be required.
  • The role will require an individual who has an understanding of sales and purchase ledger administration/transactions, BACS and cheque payments, and financial administration. The postholder should be studying towards their AAT qualification or willing to commit to undertaking this qualification, which EA will support.
