Full Job Description

Anderson Knight are delighted to be continuing our partnership with a valued client for a key appointment of a Finance Business Partner.


Our client are an established industrial business with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh, this role will be on a hybrid basis out of the Glasgow office.


The key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain a strong financial control framework across all business operations.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process and manage ongoing rolling forecasts.
  • Ensure the business stream's P&L accurately reflects its financial status.
  • Lead financial reporting and performance analysis, interpreting results and trends to inform key decisions.
  • Spearhead financial risk management within the business stream.
  • Recommend and implement actions to minimise and mitigate risks.
  • Take charge of working capital and cash management for the business stream.
  • Develop policies and initiatives to maximise opportunities and reduce risks.
  • Enhance the impact and understanding of financial reporting on business performance.
  • Cultivate effective working relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Advise and guide the Senior Management Team on financial strategy to support the company’s objectives.
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget for the business stream, ensuring compliance with financial targets and regulations.
  • Supervise the preparation of financial and management accounts to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Support the month-end management accounts process and its related components

The main candidate will be a fully qualified who can demonstrate proven experience in a busy corporate role.


You will be experienced working with a larger business and will have a background in a fast paced commercial environment.


You will possess excellent analytical and forecasting experience, with a strong understanding of financial regulation and legislation.
