Full Job Description
Your main goal will be to assess the integrity and effectiveness of the bank's internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and protection of the bank's operational, financial, and reputational risk.,
- Collaborate with various stakeholders across the bank to improve overall control effectiveness through detailed documentation of control assessments, procedures, and findings.
- Identify and investigate potential weaknesses and issues within internal controls to promote continuous improvement and risk mitigation aligned with the bank's control framework.
- Develop reports to communicate key findings from risk assessments, including control weaknesses and recommendations to control owners, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Execute reviews to determine the effectiveness of the bank's internal controls framework aligned to established policies, regulations, and best practices.

- Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness while collaborating with other functions/business divisions.
- Lead a team in performing complex tasks and setting objectives. Coach employees towards these objectives, appraising performance, and determining reward outcomes.

- Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
- Take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls related to the work done.
- Perform work closely related to other areas, which requires understanding how areas coordinate and contribute to achieving the organization's objectives.
- Collaborate with other areas to keep up with business activity and strategy.
- Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources, including internal and external sources, to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Communicate complex information, sensitive or difficult due to its content or audience.
- Influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will need: - Strong stakeholder management skills across all grades (up to Director level).
- A data-driven mindset, capable of summarizing and presenting quality data-driven information and outputs to leaders.
- An awareness of LRR in a financial services organization.
- Practical experience in a finance function and/or holding a finance qualification such as an accountancy qualification.
- A strong risk and control mindset. Desirable: Previous experience in identifying and mapping of controls to external LRR obligations. You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, business acumen, strategic thinking, and job-specific technical skills.
