Full Job Description

  • Lead and direct the Asset Solutions' Business Planning team for EMEA, including finance aspects of: pipeline opportunity assessment and pursuit, forecasting, monthly and other periodic reporting, variance analysis, project cost reviews, corporate taxation, cash management, entity registrations, reporting and monitoring risks and supporting the leadership team with their short, medium and long-term strategies and ongoing business operations.
  • Finance Business Partner for EMEA and part of Asset Solutions finance leadership team
  • Business partner the Head of EMEA, guiding and challenging them and the EMEA leadership team
  • Accurate reporting of the regional financial forecasts and results and KPI metrics in line with Asset Solutions and Group reporting deadlines
  • Internal management reporting of EMEA to inform and support strategic decision making, including all necessary data and trending analysis
  • Monitor DSO days (AR and SAC) and collections from clients for EMEA
  • Management and monitoring of free cash flow for EMEA
  • Undertake strategic analysis and assist with strategic planning in producing long-term business plans
  • CRM data review with Business Development and EMEA project leads
  • Develop new Country entry strategy with regards to Tax efficiency, right Petrofac entity and expected business and efficient way for profit repatriation
  • Finance considerations for business expansion across all geographies
  • Finance support on negotiation with Partners/JV for opportunities to drive the most optimum structure (profits and cash)
  • Liaise with external auditors on finalization of audited financial statements and tax matters
  • Work with other finance specialisms issues as required (e.g. tax and treasury planning)
  • Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting and collection procedures, and investment activities, and make recommendations for and oversee changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets, and other financial reporting functions
  • Develop and oversee the maintenance of budget monitoring systems and processes, standardizing associated reporting and maximizing the use of systems., Act as focal point for the Asset Solutions Aberdeen-based finance team
  • Develop employees within the team, providing leadership as well as the setting of appropriate objectives
  • Oversee the supervision of personnel, including work allocation, training, and problem resolution;
  • Identify gaps in the knowledge of team members and to put in place training systems and processes to ensure that these are closed
  • Evaluate performance and make recommendations for personnel actions; motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance
  • Keep abreast of laws and regulations that apply to Finance to maintain up-to-date compliance
  • Monitor best practice systems and processes to benefit the team's productivity
  • Duties performed in office surroundings involving very limited physical effort.
  • Refer to HR/ OD Competency Management System
  • This position involves maintaining regular contact with SVP Finance, COO, CFO, Group Finance - Director of Group Finance & Head of FP&A, Group Tax, External Auditors, Senior leadership team of Asset Solutions, functional heads (Commercial, HR, BD, Admin, Project Directors), other Petrofac Divisions, legal and taxation authorities in various jurisdictions.
  • Responsible for managing Managers, senior accountants, technical experts, and external consultants (as required)
  • Includes those with a high degree of professional specialist expertise.
  • May take decisions related to Financial Planning, forecasting, cost allocation, SGA Budget allocation to projects, strategy for new country entry, monthly reporting and variance analysis. Consults with supervisor on other major issues.
  • Performs any other duties as and when required by Finance and Commercial Function - SVP Finance, Group Finance and Commercial Leadership
  • Performs any other duties as and when required by the Asset Solutions leadership
  • Leads the team in all financial reporting and strategic matters including key decision making. Accountable for all group reporting in conformance of local accounting standards, IFRS and Group Finance requirements.

    Post-qualification degree in accounting (preferably Chartered Accountant) with experience in large global organization, with prior experience in a similar role.
