About The Role

Key Responsibilities You'll Take On:

  • Lead the day-to-day financial operations, including managing accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and maintaining the general ledger with precision.
  • Play a vital role in preparing insightful monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Conduct financial analysis to uncover trends and variances, providing critical insights that drive business decisions with regards to all products and services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of streamlined financial policies and procedures for smooth, efficient operations.
  • Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, ensuring the company achieves its financial objectives.
  • Action regular weekly and monthly exception reports, comparing to KPI’s and budgets to drive impactful business decisions and ensure continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the year-end audit, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Be a proactive contributor on special financial projects and play a key role in mentoring and developing finance assistants.

 Qualifications and experience you’ll need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance-related role.
  • Familiarity with UK financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software including Xero accounting software and solid Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • While not required, working towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is a plus
