Full Job Description

Opportunity for a qualified accountant to play a key role in managing the financial reporting, operations and financial governance within our rapidly expanding organisation., Reporting to the Head of Finance, and managing a small team, you will be responsible for:
+ delivering timely and accurate financial and corporate performance information through a business partnering approach and budget management.
+ contributing to the formulation of corporate and business plans, and budget formulation.
+ leading and managing the production of the annual reports including liaising with a range of colleagues and wider stakeholders to ensure the appropriate disclosure and governance matters are fully complied with.
+ preparing the cash flow forecast and providing guidance on the placement of short-term deposits.
+ contributing to the development and implementation of financial policies and systems., PLEASE NOTE: Following unprecedented interest in our vacancies, we reserve the right to bring forward the closing date (close it early). + CCAB qualified
+ Significant and demonstrable experience in a similar role with a track record of delivering continuous improvement
+ Experience of leading and managing staff including ensuring high quality performance levels and staff development
+ Experience of producing businesses cases, costing services and option appraisal
+ Experience in business planning and risk management
+ Experience of working with ERP/Financial Systems
Understanding of the requirements of Managing Public Money, central government financial framework, accounting and reporting requirements is ideal, albeit not essential., Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check.
People working with government assets must complete baseline personnel security standard (opens in new window) checks.
