Finance Officer

Location: Edinburgh Hybrid
Position Type: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
Salary: 25-25k PA

About Us
Eden Scott is excited to be supporting a well known charity based in Edinburgh, in their search to find an experienced Finance Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will have excellent sales ledger experience and be comfortable working in companies or organisations that have a variety of income stream.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales Ledger Management: Accurately maintain and update the sales ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded in a timely manner.
• Invoice Processing: Generate and distribute sales invoices to customers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Credit Control: Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments, communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices, and implement effective credit control measures.
• Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of customer accounts, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on sales ledger activities, including aged debt analysis and cash flow forecasts.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to the sales ledger.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the sales ledger function.

Experience

• Educated to a Scottish National Qualification level 5 or above (or equivalent), in particular English and Maths
• Desirable, but not essential, studying towards an accountancy or book-keeping qualification e.g. AAT, ACCA, CIMA
