Full Job Description

The purpose of the role is to support the delivery of both day-to-day tasks and ad-hoc project work within ESMS's finance function and will include such duties as:

  • Supporting the Head of Finance in revamping budgeting, reporting, and VAT implementation processes.
  • Collaborating with various departments to ensure consistency and enhance data, reporting, and management information.
  • Assisting with developing controls for procurement, refining purchase order processes, and providing ad-hoc support to the Finance team as needed.

    The successful candidate will be a part-qualified accountant or one qualified by having at least 5 years of experience, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate effective collaboration with stakeholders. They must be self-motivated, possess strong analytical abilities, and be able to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.

    Erskine Stewart's Melville Schools are currently recruiting for a Finance Project Manager to join the Finance Team on a fixed-term contract - available immediately (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks) to August 2025. The role is part-time, working 8.00am-5.00pm three days per week. The successful candidate's working week totals 24.75 hours and equates to a salary range of £35,304 - £37,851 per annum (ESMS Support Staff L Scale).
