Finance Projects Assistant £27-28,000 FTE

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Part-Time Finance Projects Assistant within a fast-paced dynamic group of companies based in Glasgow.

The post is for 28 hours preferably over 4 days. However, we are flexible on the working hours and days to suit the right candidate’s requirements.

The successful candidate must have a high level of organisation and is required to work on their own initiative, A high level of expertise in excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Collate the monthly Management information for the Group to present to Group Accountant within given timescales
• Provide analysis and detail for department heads and board on variances to budget. 
• Monitor and document all inter co transactions – ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Calculate and oversee month end processing for FM company, utilities, and journals
• Budget creation and maintenance
• Cash flow creation, maintenance 
• Statutory returns - Companies house / HMRC
• Set up new companies & update all relevant bodies.
• Analysis and projects as required by CEO and senior management.

Skills

• Excellent Excel skills. Confidence in extracting and analysing data in excel importing from existing accounting software.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks for given deadlines
• Knowledge of Sage Accounts 50 
• Continual improvement in processes and ensuring current processes fit for purpose and implemented.
• A high level of accuracy, communication, time management and a proactive approach to all tasks and projects.
