Your new role
The Finance Services Manager is accountable to the Deputy Head of Finance for all aspects of the finance transaction services. Within this varied role, you provide the day to day management of the finance transactions service, consisting of payroll and expenses, accounts payable and accounts receivable, treasury and cash and banking services and take responsibility for the delivery of finance transaction services that are effective, efficient, customer focused, professional and that meet business targets. In addition, you will lead, manage and develop the finance services team, encouraging appropriate financial skills and best practice whilst promoting financial general good practice standards.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant who has experience of working for a large public sector or commercial organisation. You will have good leadership skills and will have managed small teams in a previous role. You will also have a good handle of transactional finance, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and VAT. In addition, you will have the ability to implement process improvements and have a good degree of commercial acumen.
