Full Job Description
The role of the Financial Accountant is to support the Financial Controller and Finance Director in managing the provision of the above, by ensuring appropriate systems are in place to deal with transactional processing and assurance, and to provide information and guidance to relevant users, supporting overall goals of the organisation.
To assist in preparing timely and accurate financial statements and reports including management accounts, statutory accounts, department accounts, and channel analysis
To complete the month end close process for nominated companies before final review by the Financial Controller and Finance Director, ensuring all tasks are being performed accurately and timeously
To oversee the Treasury function, including all banking matters, cash flow forecasting and analysis
To ensure the company is demonstrably tax and payroll compliant in all geographical areas, providing tax advice where necessary, liaising with external tax advisers
To oversee reports and returns to regulatory authorities ensuring accuracy and timeliness
To assist the Financial Controller in completing the annual Group audit and other audits where necessary
To ensure financial ethics and compliance procedures and processes are in place and complied with, assisting and developing and supplying an internal audit function
To support goals of profit maximization and reduction in funding requirements and other commercial risk
To work with the IT function to ensure identified efficiency opportunities are realised
To raise the profile of the Finance department within the organisation and to help ensure that the department is motivated, professional and respected throughout the organisation
