WA is partnering with a retail bank in Edinburgh as they seek to hire a Financial Control Assistant Manager for a 6 month FTC.

As Assistant Manager in Financial Control you will be a pivotal member of the finance team, contributing to the design and management of financial processes for specific products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage the financial close process for specific products and services, overseeing balance sheet substantiation, reconciliation controls, and journal preparation
  • Responsible for supporting the preparation of monthly reporting, producing management information and analysis for management accounts and external stakeholders, as well as contributing to the Bank's regulatory and statistical reporting requirements
  • Involved in implementing financial processes and controls to support business change initiatives, supporting the external audit process, and driving process improvements within the team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

About You:

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant with a wealth of experience in finance operations, reporting, and controls, gained either in industry or practice
  • Exposure to change activities and strong analytical skills
  • Keen eye for detail, exceptional PC skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
