Full Job Description

Anderson Knight are delighted to be exclusively representing our client, based just a few minutes from Glasgow City Centre. A dynamic and rapidly growing company, they are now seeking a number one to lead their Finance function.

Initially managing two junior members of staff, there will be an opportunity to grow the Finance team to cope with the growth of the business along with implementing new processes and strengthening the overall finance structure.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the financial operations, including preparation and in depth analysis of the management accounts.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Work closely with business heads to support the wider business and drive growth.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop procedures to ensure efficient and effective management of overall finances.
  • Manage and mentor the finance team, ensuring continuous development.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Fully qualified.
  • Experience with Sage and Excel.
  • Hands on approach able to re-prioritise and work to multiple deadline.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
