Financial Controller

Due to a rate of rapid expansion Retronix Ltd since acquisition we have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Chartered Accountant to take up the role as our Financial Controller. Working from our head office in Coatbridge Glasgow, while also leading our facility in Austin, Texas and supporting the expansion of our new facility in St. Petersburg, Florida you will manage around 6 direct employees. The ideal candidate will have both accountancy and management experience. Reporting into the board of directors this position will require an organised, professional, and driven individual who is used to operating in a dynamic fast paced environment Within this position, you will be responsible but not limited to the below tasks:

• Management of UK based finance team
• Month end accounting adjustments & management accounts
• Reporting month end and year end results to Corporate monthly per the strict global timeline
• SOX, USA GAAP, UK GAAP compliance
• Responsible for overseeing finance function outputs including but not limited to: Payroll, Invoicing, Month end accounting adjustments, Month end management accounts
• Accounting presentations
• Cash flow forecasting and projections
• Liaising daily with operations team making commercial decisions on a regular basis.
• Working with Auditors on statutory accounts preparation and corporation tax return.
• Corporation tax return adjustments for R&D.
• VAT, PAYE and other HMRC compliance.
• Government grant and spend management.
• Extensive job costing and project analysis - Implementation of systems on each site to collect this data and generate meaningful reports to operations and board of directors.
• Leadership of the finance function to support all stakeholders and meet their needs
• Training, coaching and development of finance staff on a continual basis.
• Supporting purchasing team
  
  Qualified Accountant- e.g ACCA, ICAS,CIMA
• Experience with month end close process
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Energetic, inquisitive, and tenacious with an aptitude for problem-solving & desire for continuous improvement.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with both internal and external stakeholders
• Robust commercial awareness
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• Ability to reliably commute to Coatbridge office
