Join us as a Financial Controller in our Banking Product Control team

  • You’ll lead a team with responsibility for the delivery of end to end financial control activity
  • We’ll look to you to proactively establish and maintain strong working relationships with key customers and stakeholders, and the wider finance team
  • As a key member of our team, you’ll enjoy extensive collaboration and can expect great visibility for you and your work
  • We have three positions available and these will be for a twelve to fifteen month period, depending on the programme

What you'll do

As a Financial Controller, you’ll ensure the integrity of monthly, quarterly and annual financial information across our businesses, including balance sheet, profit and loss account, fixed assets accounting, legal entity recharge accounting and supporting data.

You’ll comply with relevant policies and consider and escalate the adequacy and effectiveness of the business’s controls.

Through the course of your work, you’ll:

  • Help shape the strategy and operating model for financial control, with the overriding objective of establishing and maintaining trust and confidence of customers and stakeholders
  • Make sure the impacts of external and internal changes in policy and legislation are fully embedded on time
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture in the team
  • Maintain an awareness of all changes which impact the business, its products and its financial performance and ensure the effective communication to global financial control teams
  • Monitor data analysis, consolidation and inputs for external reporting, including statutory reporting and regulatory reporting

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll hold a professional accountancy qualification, with proficiency in accounting. You’ll have worked in a large multinational organisation, with substantial experience in a financial services environment.

We’ll also look to you to bring:

  • Experience leading, motivating and directing a small team
  • In depth knowledge and experience in interlinked financial systems and accounting procedures
  • Experience of implementing business process and procedural change in a complex business environment
  • The ability to prioritise and manage conflicting operational and strategic demands
