Full Job Description

Eden Scott's client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Planning Assistant to join a growing team in Edinburgh. In this role, you will provide essential administrative and client support to our Financial Planners, helping to ensure smooth operations and excellent client service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for financial planning and a strong focus on client care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Using Intelligent Office (IO) to record and update client information
  • Preparing pre-meeting packs and client engagement letters
  • Assisting Financial Planners in conducting Annual Reviews and managing new business submissions
  • Handling client queries and liaising with third-party providers
  • Submitting new business applications and processing platform work, including fund switches and cash management
  • Managing client remuneration details and generating invoices where applicable
  • Obtaining product information and valuations via provider websites
  • Liaising with life offices and submitting Letters of Authority
  • Completing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks and processing client identification documents
  • Managing daily post and ensuring all client records are accurately maintained
  • Collaborating with the Paraplanning and Review teams to ensure timely delivery of client reports
  • Handling Trusts and Death Claims

Experience and Skills Required:

  • 1-3 years of experience in Financial Planning Support or 1 year as a Trainee FP Assistant
  • Strong customer service skills with experience in administrative roles
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
