Full Job Description

Iconic Resourcing are currently partnering with a globally based service sector client to recruit a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their operations based in Glasgow, with the opportunity to work with an experienced and qualified team.


The role reports to a Senior Finance Manager, you will be tasked with the delivery of various external entity reports 50% and projects/process improvement 50%, whilst working autonomously and developing key relationships with both finance and non-financial stakeholders. 


Key responsibilities:

  • Preparation of statutory financial statements for various European legal entities
  • Coordinate and manage external audits
  • Resolving technical accounting queries
  • As required by global jurisdiction, carry out statistical reporting requirements
  • Prepare and deliver annual board packs to stakeholders
  • Produce financial performance reports
  • Ensure corporate tax returns are completed on time through liaising with external tax advisors
  • Key focus on driving process improvements across the team and divisions
  • Work on ad hoc initiative and collaborate with colleagues across other finance teams.

This is a excellent role for a recently qualified Accountant, an ideal first move from accounting practice to industry, with great growth potential across the team and wider finance. with relevant experience in management accounting and balance sheet reconciliation. It would ideally suit someone who has worked within the accounting practice and they are keen on a first move into industry.


Alternatively, if you have gained good experience within statutory reporting, financial statement preparation, with flair for systems, processes and improvements, this environment will encourage further development of those skills.
