Pay Rate: £32, 131.94 (plus additional night shift premium of £3,000) Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: 37.5 hours per week, any 5 from 7, working NIGHT shift 10pm - 6am Location: Livingston, EH54 8AS DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

  • To directly assist Management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance
  • To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, always maintaining standards of excellence
  • Ensuring compliance to Standard Operating Procedures in a Retail warehouse, whilst ensuring that customer KPI's and SLA's are met
  • Contribute to continuous site improvement agenda

  • Previous experience as a People Manager within a warehouse environment is essential, ideally within the retail sector
  • Ability to communicate and engage with colleagues and stakeholders at various levels
  • Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems - JDA experience is desirable
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
  • Ideally will have previous experience working the night shift
