Full Job Description

Join Pelican Adventures as our Fleet Maintenance Manager and become a key player in maintaining the operational excellence and safety of our diverse fleet. This role is crucial for ensuring all vessels are in top condition, encompassing regular maintenance, thorough inspections, and both dry and wet dock periods. The Fleet Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance department, managing all routine and extraordinary maintenance activities, enhancements, and repairs, while also ensuring meticulous reporting on work periods, incidents, and employee performance., Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the marine maintenance department.
Plan and execute regular maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with all safety and operational standards.
Lead and supervise all dry dock and wet dock activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and managing repairs and enhancements.
Work closely with the Marine Operations Department to coordinate maintenance schedules and address operational needs efficiently.
Ensure all maintenance and repairs are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Manage a team of maintenance professionals, providing leadership, training, and development opportunities.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Produce comprehensive reports on work periods, incidents, and employee performance, ensuring transparent communication with management and relevant departments.

Proven experience in marine maintenance management or a similar role.
Strong leadership skills and experience managing a maintenance team.
In-depth knowledge of marine operations and engineering.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Strong communication and coordination abilities, with a focus on detailed and accurate reporting.
Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing operational needs.
