Job Description

To support the Strategic Manager for Transport and Fleet Maintenance in the delivery of Transport Services through effective management of the fleet and all associated activities, with particular focus on management of the Operator Licence and performance. The post holder is required to ensure that all work undertaken helps to deliver a best value, high quality service that assists in the delivery of the Council’s key objectives in relation to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement and Best Value.

The Individual

This is a permanent full time post. The admin base for this post is Transport Services, Crookedholm Depot, 34 Main Road, Crookedholm, Kilmarnock.

The hours of work are 9am - 5pm Monday - Thursday & 9am - 4pm Friday.

The full time annual salary of this post is between £46,192 - £50,505 per annum.

The workstyle for this post is Flexible: 50-79% of time is office based. The post holder is able to work at different/multiple work locations, including working from home and travelling directly from home to external appointments approximately 1-2 days per week. It is the expectation that all office-based employees (with the exception of those working in schools) will work to the higher end of their allocated workstyle in terms of time spent in the office or at other work locations.
