East Renfrewshire Council are looking to recruit for the newly created role of Fleet Utilisation Officer to join our Transport and Fleet operations Team.

The successful candidate will be required to lead a comprehensive study and analysis of current systems, processes, procedures and work measurements with a view to implementing improvements which will significantly contribute to the councils ‘Fleet Cost Savings Strategy’ and the ‘Fleet Transformation Strategy’ aimed at meeting government targets set for the councils transition to Net Zero carbon emissions.

The post holder will generally be based in the Transport Section but will also be required to work in close collaboration with all vehicle user departments, Transport Manager, Workshop Manager, Fleet Compliance team, ICT department and all external service providers.
