Full Job Description

Bartender duties

  • To serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests at the bar and tables in a friendly professional and timely manner

  • To ensure stock is maintained at agreed levels by restocking bar at throughout every shift and ensuring stock is rotated in date order. Inform manager when stock supply needs reordering

  • Use electronic Tills and take payment from customers in cash or credit/debit cards using the PDQ system

  • Answer telephones and deal with reservations and enquiry's in line with company policy's

  • Ensuring bar server and guest areas is kept clean at all times and the food hygiene and hotel standards are maintained.

  • Food & Beverage Team Member food service
  • To greet customers on arrival and ensure they are seated comfortably and made welcome

  • To take customer orders and have a sound knowledge of the menu choices and Specials of the Day and be able to answer customer queries. Also to have sound knowledge of allergens and range of dietary requirements

  • To deliver orders to the customer and ensure customer satisfaction through engaging with the customer following delivery of meal

  • To set up tables and function rooms in a timely and efficient manner to hotel standards

  • To clear and clean tables according to hotels steps of service and operating standard's

  • To receive payment from customers using the Epos and PDQ for debit and credit cards and room charges

  • To remain professional at all times and refer any customer through the correct channels

  • To comply with all company policies, procedures and legislation, in particular Licensing Legislation, Â Data Protection Act, Health & Safety Act and Equal Opportunities Act.
