Connect Appointments are recruiting a Quality Controller to join our client's busy vegetable packhouse near Anstruther, in the East Neuk of Fife.

As a Quality Controller, you'll play a key role in maintaining food safety and quality standards throughout the packhouse. Working closely with packhouse operatives and production teams, your duties will include:

• Inspecting incoming fresh produce
• Performing regular QC checks and food safety inspections
• Managing shelf-life control and traceability exercises
• Monitoring packhouse equipment (e.g., thermometers)
• Instructing operatives on packaging standards and procedures
• Accurately completing and maintaining quality records

To be successful in this Quality Controller role, you'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a quality control role within a vegetable or food production environment (preferred but not essential)
• Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel and Word
• A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
• Good written and spoken English for documentation and reporting
• Flexibility to work varied hours to meet production needs
