Full Job Description

To undertake a variety of loading and unloading tasks in support of the overall production and dispatch operation, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations., Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Operating a FLT to move stock around.

  • Loading and unloading vehicles, Storage racking and process equipment.

  • Picking and packing finished goods and raw materials.

  • Carrying out product quality inspections.

  • Checking stock for damaged or missing items.

  • Maintaining an accurate record of stock and carrying out stock counts, as required.

  • Finishing products to a consistently high standard.

  • Monitoring the production process and carrying out basic testing and quality tests.

  • Reporting equipment faults to maintenance staff.

  • Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Operating in a safe manner complying with all Health, Safety and Environment requirements to ensure own and safety of others.

    Essential

  • Prior work experience as a labourer in a similar environment.

  • Fit for manual handling., Essential

  • A Counterbalance fork lift truck licence and/or licence to drive assisted lift equipment.

  • Current driving licence.
