Flexibility in when hours are worked, Hybrid Working, Job Share, Other Agile Working Arrangements / Open to Discussion, An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated qualified accounting professional to join the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team within Insurance Pensions & Investments (IP&I) Finance. They are a dynamic, engaging and high-profile team who are supporting the business through an exciting period of growth and change. This is a very high-profile opportunity with regular interaction with Commercial FDs and other senior customers within the Insurance Division as well as exposure to broader Group teams. You will seek out opportunities to continually evolve the quality of our presentation and communication of results and efficiency of the underlying processes.

You'll be involved in;

  • Month end reporting and quarterly external reporting (News Release and IMS) working closely with the Finance Business Partners, Cost Centre of Excellence, Central Group Finance teams, Investor Relation teams and FP&A colleagues to collate, review, understand and communicate the results.

  • Group Performance Reporting and forecasting including weekly dashboards, month end reporting, quarterly external reporting (News Release and IMS), quarterly forecasts, 4YOP and stress and reverse stress testing.

  • Costs reporting and forecasting including direct and indirect costs, negative income and the cost allocation annual basis review (ABR) supported by the cost processing activity performed by the Cost Centre of Excellence.

    Finance professional (accountant) with a track record of personal growth and achievement.

  • Phenomenal leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain a cross functional network.

  • Experience in communicating sophisticated messages to various customers, becoming comfortable with challenge and 'telling the story'.

  • Experience in building and leading teams, prioritising workload, and developing people.

  • Ability to encourage continuous improvement in our systems and processes, empowering colleagues to lead change.

  • Supporting the delivering technology, regulatory and transformation change initiatives across the FP&A team and wider community.


  • And any experience of these would be really useful
  • Have a high degree of numeracy and analytical skills with an understanding of financial reporting processes.

  • An understanding of Insurance, Pension and Investment products.

  • Have a genuine desire to take ownership and work collaboratively across teams to deliver results.

  • Think commercially and have an effective style of engagement and communication that can be flexed depending on the audience.

  • Are a natural team-builder; you'll support your team members to embed a learning culture where career progression is open to all.
