About the Company


Join this dynamic Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst and play a pivotal role in driving their business performance. Based in Glasgow, you will collaborate with both leadership and operations teams, delivering impactful financial and business information insights and helping to shape strategic decisions. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will also manage and mentor one Financial Analyst. This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially minded professional with a passion for data-driven analysis and a knack for presenting actionable recommendations to senior management.



About the Role


As Senior Financial Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:


  • Conducting ROI, Capex project returns, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Performing external market analysis, including industry trends and competitor performance.
  • Evaluating marketing spend effectiveness through detailed customer ROI analysis.
  • Developing complex financial models and pricing analyses.
  • Delivering executive-level summary reports and insights.
  • Managing departmental KPIs using Power BI and ensuring accurate, actionable reporting.
  • Supporting annual business planning, reforecasting, and month-end reporting.
  • Overseeing one Financial Analyst and fostering their professional growth.


Skills and Qualifications


We are seeking a driven individual with the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:


Essential:


  • Advanced skills in Power BI and Excel.
  • Proven experience in financial or data analysis, commercial finance, and report writing.
  • Proficiency in SQL databases and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong ability to extract, analyze, and interpret data with high accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to lead by example and build strong relationships.

Desirable:


  • A professional accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA).
  • Degree in finance, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience producing dashboards linked to business KPIs.
  • Familiarity with accounting ledgers and SQL reporting.

Pay range and compensation package


Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 DoE, 15% bonus, additional generous benefits package

Working model: Hybrid, 3 days in the central Glasgow office

Hours: 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday
