Full Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Freight Agent, the successful candidate will work as part of the Freight Agency team, primarily receiving, handling and despatching client freight; utilising road, air & sea freight shipping methods when despatching freight to and from their respective destinations/origins. Experience preferrable, but a trainee position will be considered. Roles and responsibilities are as follows: General

  • Ensure all freight is processed accurately using Optima WMS
  • Plan and organise deliveries/shipments to ensure that deadlines are met
  • Maintain records of all deliveries/shipments
  • Ensure correct segregation and documentation of dangerous goods
  • Send daily freight reports to clients
  • Raise purchase orders using Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles/racking/containers safely
  • Maintain clean and safe working environment

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Proficient use of the Microsoft suite
  • Full clean UK Driving license
  • Desirable Qualifications/Competencies
  • Forklift license
