Front-End Engineer II, Global Talent Management & Compensation

As a Front-End Engineer, you will join a team of engineers to lead the design and development of user experiences that implement the Connected Talent Management team's 3 year vision. If you stay on the pulse of the latest front-end technologies and modular web design principles, this opportunity is for you. As part of this team, you will play a key role in designing and implementing intuitive front-end interfaces that integrate seamlessly with efficient back-end systems, transforming talent experiences for Amazon employees and managers. You will collaborate within and across the organisation to invent and simplify solutions to Amazon's hardest problems on measuring, managing and maintaining the performance of its workforce., Invent and develop a modern, mobile-first website experience on top of services using native AWS technologies.
- Exert technical vision and build highly scalable, architecturally sound solutions that are aligned with business needs.
- Contribute to defining and raising technical standards across the organization while working on Amazon's hardest problems
- Work alongside product managers, UX designers and software developers to explore and outline the front-end components and technology that scale at large

Experience in computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis)
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
- Experience (non-internship) in professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in agile software development methodology
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
