An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a Front Loader Operative/Labourer to join our Waste Management service on a permanent basis.

NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services.

Position Details

Duties include but not limited to operating front-loading shovel and hydraulic equipment attached to the shovel, general operation and maintenance of heavy plant, and compliance with GCC procedures and practices, Health and Safety practice, Highway Code and traffic regulations.

It is essential that you have a LGV Category C Licence and a valid Driver’s Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC card). It is desirable to have been trained on Front loading shovel operations.

Contract Details

Weekly Hours: an average of 37 hours per week plus 3.5 hours contractual overtime.

Work Pattern: 4 on, 4 off

Annual Salary: £24,183.81 - £25,716.37

Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts an annual non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £2,091 and a working context & demand (WCD) payment of £1,127.
