Following a review of our delivery structure we are looking for an exceptional individual to deliver a high quality, front line operational repair service to local residents. You will contribute and champion service development and continuous improvement with your team and support their learning and development to help them be at their best.

You must also hold the following qualifications:

  • Completed an SVQ3 in Domestic Gas or Equivalent;
  • A valid CCN1 Certification;
  • A Valid CENWAT Certification;
  • A valid CKR Certification;
  • A valid HTR Certification;
  • A valid CPA1 Certification;
  • A high level of health and safety awareness;
  • A working knowledge of relevant statutory regulations, standards and codes of practice;
  • A good communicator with good customer care skills;
  • A full clean UK driving licence.

If you are someone who enjoys new opportunities and have strong leadership skills demonstrating our behaviours - respect, integrity, and flexibility as well as extensive experience of creating a high performing culture, driving change and service delivery, we would love to hear from you.

If you have any questions or want to know more about the role, please contact ronan.smyth@edinburgh.gov.uk.

As part of our goal to improve our organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to make sure that we're bringing the best people into our roles, not just in their skills and experience but also in their approach to work.

To help achieve this, we're changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity and Flexibility into your ways of working.

We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation.
