Full Job Description

Worley is currently recruiting for a General Foreperson (Piping/Mechanical) for our CNOOC contract on Golden Eagle. Position will be overall in charge of a small team currently working on a grating replacement project due to end in December 2024. The current supervisor onboard is being seconded to Scott Platform and will be in direct contact for assistance if required.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our offshore team on the Golden Eagle.

Key aims and objectives:

  • To coordinate and supervise labour.

  • Ensure safety procedures are adhered to.

  • Ensure the highest quality of workmanship.

  • To liaise with the onshore team daily.


  • Role Requirements:
  • Plan & control work activities

  • Supervise team.

  • Maintain records.

  • Deliver Toolbox Talks

  • Conduct Meetings

  • Manage resources.

  • Ensure PTW system adhered to

  • Ensure time writing for discipline teams is accurate and completed on time.

  • Ensure all systems are built as detailed in the workpacks.

  • Ensure job cards are completed and accurate progress reported.

  • Completion of probationary evaluations and assessments in accordance with Worley's competency assurance system, CDCA

    City and Guilds in a related trade, NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a related trade

  • Worley Mandatory Training, Induction, Risk Assessment Etc.

  • Trade background

  • CCNSG safety passport


  • Ideally, candidates will also have the following experience:
  • Demonstrable experience in the role of general foreman or similar supervisory role

  • Demonstrable experience working on a Petrochemical, Oil and gas, Power or nuclear facility

  • Ability to effectively manage resources

  • Ability to effectively supervise combined piping/mechanical/plating teams

  • Ability to lead the team

  • Ability to maintain records

  • Ability to ensure all systems are built as detailed in the construction workpacks

  • Time writing and keeping accurate records

  • Ability to manage jobcards and report accurate progress

  • Ability to work the plan

  • Ability to manage certification documentation
