General Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and highly motivated General Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of AJA growing, storage, grading and trading activities. A good knowledge of general potato agronomy, crop production and storage are desirable as is an understanding of modern machinery. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a team of five full-time staff and up to twenty agency/temporary staff
• Production planning to facilitate early harvest & shipment to key export markets
• Liaise with landlords to secure suitable land to meet production targets
• Assist with preparation of annual budgets
• Machinery procurement and replacement planning
• Provision of accurate stock and inventory
• Facilities management; 7,000 tonnes of on-site storage & grading capacity
• Marketing of free variety seed and ware as necessary
The successful candidate will work closely with IPM to assist in meeting all production and quality targets. A competitive remuneration package will be offered.
