Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is 9-5.

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver and lead Primary Care Medical Services, including assessment of newly received prisoner/patients requiring treatment for substance misuse, to the prison population at HMP Barlinnie, HMP Greenock, HMP Low Moss Prison and the Womens Community Custody Unit. You will be a member of the prison healthcare management team and work closely with operational management and other clinical disciplines to deliver a high quality service and support service improvement. An additional payment to salary is given for clinical leadership responsibilities.
As well as providing medical support during core hours, you may also be required to work public holidays as agreed. To practice medicine in the UK you need to hold both GMC registration and a license to practice

Salary - £80,505 - £103,242
