GI NURSE SPECIALIST-CRUK PROJECT

FIXED TERM FOR ONE YEAR FROM 06/01/2025-31/12/2025, 37 HOURS/WEEK

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Nurse within the CRUK Test, Evidence, Transition colorectal cancer project.

This is an opportunity to work as part of the small local project delivery team for a 12-month period.  You will be based within NHS Borders Endoscopy Department and Public Health Department Screening Team.

We are looking for a nurse with excellent knowledge, skills and experience around bowel cancer, endoscopy/colonoscopy and the use of TrakCare.  The post will involve working with patients who are on the bowel cancer high-risk surveillance list, carrying out clinical reviews and interventions to validate and triage patients for colonoscopy.

A Data Facilitator, Research Project Support, Project Manager, supports this post and the post-holder will also participate in the local Governance Group as well as liaising with CRUK and academic partners appointed to the project to carry out evaluation.

The shift pattern is Monday-Friday, day shifts.
