Are you an experienced procurement professional with a strategic mindset and a passion for innovation?

Our client, a leading energy services organisation, is seeking a driven and collaborative Global Category Manager to lead sourcing strategies within IT categories. This role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency, cost management, and fostering strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement global category strategies, focusing on cost savings, efficiency, and risk management.
  • Manage key supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure supplier performance aligns with business needs.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, potential suppliers, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Collaborate with regional teams and stakeholders to align category strategies with business objectives.
  • Lead large-scale tenders and leverage spend with strategic suppliers to support the category Technology Road Map.
  • Mentor and guide teams, promoting best practices in procurement and conflict resolution.

What You'll Need:

  • Strong experience in sourcing and procurement with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Energy sector industry experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills to evaluate market trends and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in supplier contracting, with an understanding of key contract clauses and negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build credibility quickly, with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A lean mindset, focused on continuous improvement and process optimisation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SharePoint.
