NXP's Automotive Processing Systems Engineering team are responsible for the definition of next generation processing solutions covering vehicle networking, body, chassis, powertrain, advanced driver assistance systems and safety applications. This is a great time to be in the Automotive Processing space. Cars are undergoing a big transformation into software platforms on wheels, as they move to become Electric, Automated & Personalized. Under the hood, the electronics infrastructure is a key enabler with domain & zonal electronic architectures. NXP are leaders in the Automotive MCU & MPUs which provide the processing & networking power for these new architectures. It is the role of the Systems Engineering team to fully understand the future trends of vehicle infrastructure, and define the detailed technical product requirements for MCU & MPU products to meet the needs of software defined vehicles.   • Technical use case knowledge covering Automotive domain control, gateway, zone control, body, vehicle dynamics & ADAS applications.
  • Defining future SoC/IP requirements.
  • Understanding all aspects of the technology, the architecture and the function of the product.
  • Performing simulation and benchmarking of existing MCU/MPUs and virtual prototypes - to guide the specification of future products.
  • Defining pre-silicon platforms that allow customers to start developing their solutions from existing silicon and/or FPGA.
  • Customer support for design win opportunities and to help customers use our products to achieve their system level goals.
  • To ensure your successful performance in this role, the following is desired

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills (oral and written)
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally for direct customer support and training
  • Naturally structured and diligent, self motivated
  • Comfortable working in a global team environment
