Our client, a leading firm of chartered surveyors and construction consultants, offering comprehensive services across Scotland. Our client is looking for a Graduate Building Surveyor to join their dynamic Glasgow team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to further their career in building surveying within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of projects, from initial feasibility studies and surveys to design, specification, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct building surveys, including condition, measured, and dilapidation surveys.
  • Prepare detailed reports, specifications, and schedules of work.
  • Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with building regulations and standards.
  • Provide expert advice on property management and maintenance.
  • Assist with the preparation of tenders and contract documentation.
  • Support senior surveyors with project management duties and client liaison.
  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in building surveying, preferably within a consultancy environment.
  • Commenced APC 
  • Strong knowledge of building construction, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office).
  • A proactive approach and strong problem-solving abilities.
